Y'thenna was born to Moon Matron Elanas of the Temple of Elune on the Isle of Thal'dranath to the descendants of First High Priestess Haidene. Y'thenna was born while Elanas was at the temple, she came out not only extremely premature, but stillborn. Devastated at the loss of her child, Elanas begged Mother Moon to save her child, but it was not Elune who would answer.
Unbeknownst to her, Elanas's daughter was destined to become the next High Priestess of the Blue Child, and was deeply connected to the smaller moon to the point where Lo'sho could feel their connection before the child was even born.
The ever curious goddess reached out to the babe, and tried to heal her. However, Lo'sho's desire to know what mortal life was like manifested in the magic aswell. Lo'sho "healed" Y'thenna by infusing some of her life essence into Y'thenna, turning them into one. An'she, who witnessed his sibling do this, knowing that their sibling could cause harm to the mortals without realizing, reached out and sealed the child's memories as the Blue Child away, so they could truly experience mortal life. However, things would not be as simple as that.
Y'thenna always felt as if a key part of her was missing, which led her to isolate herself from her family and fellow Kaldorei. However, she never felt more whole than when she was exploring, or in Temples dedicated to Mother Moon. This led Y'thenna to explore constantly, and often get lost. Alone in these moments, strange things would happen, a sudden beam of sunlight, a glowing white owl, the sound of a fire or a stringing of a harp would appear and lead her back to safety.
As soon as she was of age, Y'thenna joined the Sisterhood of Elune, not only because that was expected of her as a decendant of Haidene, but because that was one of the few places she felt at home. Returning to the very place she was born as an initiate, she met Tyrande. Tyrande was confident yet kind, and already gifted as a priestess. Y'thenna, as someone who was constantly unsure of not only herself but everything she did, was drawn to Tyrande. Unlike the other initiates, was very kind to her, and quickly the two became close friends. Tyrande lifted Y'thenna up and helped her find herself outside of the pressure and insecurities of being a desendant of Haidene and family expectations. While Y'thenna often calmed Tyrande's reckless and brash nature, but sometimes getting swept up in the whirlwind of her first friend.
When the War of the Ancients began, she was right along side her best friend every step of the way, healing allies and fighting demons, never wavering. Until her once large family began to fall. Slowly, her faith in Elune began to waver, until only Elune's Wrath remained.
After the war, when the spirits of her family reunited with her as wisps, she began to reestablish her faith in Elune.
Despite her renown after the war of the Ancients and the Third War, she has never stopped doing the smaller things to help her people, and although she was extremely hesitant about her people joining the alliance, she quickly helped them as well.

The Blue Child

Names: While they have many names, they do not have a preference. Losil'alar, Losil'telador, Lo'sho, the Blue Child, all of them are equal in their eyes.
Titles: The Curious, the Traveler, the Scholar, the Learned, the Wise, Tear of the Earth MotherWorship: Losil'alar is worshiped as a goddess of knowledge, learning, curiosity, navigation, & a guardian of travelers. Many Travelers pray to them when going on a dangerous/ long journey.
They were first worshiped by the very party of Tauren that found them as a babe that became a tribe called Starscryer, who were know to the the Lo'shiok or "Scryers of Lo'sho." They were the first ever mortals to worship the smaller moon deity. Many of the Lo'shiok become are what outsiders would consider very skilled mages under the teachings of Lo'sho.The Priesthood of the Twin Moons, also worship Lo'sho. Although their focus is mostly on Losil'alar, they also worship Elune and revere An'she. They are currently lead by two different people. High Priestess Uya Moonveil is a tauren responsible for the faith and commanding the worshipers of the deity. High Scholar Zerana Mooresriek, however, is a harpy responsible for the scholars in the priesthood, and gathering and retaining information.Origin: The Blue Child is known as Losil'alar (Blue Beauty) and Losil'telador (Blue Child of the Earth) to the Kaldorei. In their culture, they tell tales of long ago, when the world was covered in turmoil, strife, and shadow, Elune wept for the loss of life, and decided to come down to Azeroth to help the mortals to survive. There, she wondered, allowing her light to push back the shadows, allowing life to survive. Eventually, Elune found a small glowing blue babe, the child was born from the pain the earth was in. As the Goddess held the babe, she could almost sense herself in the child, and named her "Losil'alar" meaning Blue Beauty. She held the child close to her, until she returned to the sky, where the babe became the second moon of Azeroth, and slowly grew into a child.Although, in truth it is Closer to the tauren tale.In the early days of the world, when all was empty, there were only two living things. The Sky Father and the Earth Mother. She wondered the barren Azeroth alone, until she met the Sky Father. They braved the dark and barren world together, and soon she fell pregnant. They looked for a safe place for her to give birth, but found none. Together they decided to make it safe and wonderful themselves. The Earth Mother would create life, and the Sky Father would help shape it. During their creations, the Earth Mother created the tides with grooves in the earth, and the Tides burst forth. Eager to help her fellow gods, she took to the depths and shaped them with her waves. The Earth Mother showed her how to create, and the Tides populated her waters with creations of her own.
Eventually, their work finished, and the Earth Mother was ready to give birth. She gave birth to two glowing babes, An'she and Elune. The Solar and Lunar gods.
For a time, all was well, and the Twins grew into their domains and godhood, but the peace would not last.
The Sky Father felt the shadows being twisted and changed on his winds, and he knew something bad would come soon, but all the gods were exhausted. So the Sky Father told his children, his love, and the tides to rest, and that he would watch from his domain, and would awaken them. So the Earth Mother pressed the two lights of her heart into her eyes and slept.She realized that since she was forever connected to the lands and unable to leave them, she might one day also succumb to the darkness and thereby endanger her children. She wiped away her lone tear and then wrenched An'she and Elune free from her skull, her fingers digging so deeply that their light could never return to her again. Sun and Moon tried to console their mother, but she lay paralyzed by sorrow. The twins decided to set off to hunt down the source of the corruption.Quicker than the Sky Father could move, the Old Gods came. They stretched their influence across the land and corrupted many of the still young and vulnerable creatures with their whispers, teaching them of war and hatred, and causing them unleash the elements against one another. The distraught Sky Father woke the others so they could fight the Old Gods, but it was too late. Upon seeing how the world she'd shaped had fallen into chaos, The Earth Mother wept a single tear. She realized that since she was forever connected to the lands and unable to leave them, she might one day also succumb to the darkness and thereby endanger her children. She wiped away her lone tear and then wrenched An'she and Elune free from her skull, her fingers digging so deeply that their light could never return to her again. They tried to console their mother, but she lay paralyzed by sorrow. The twins decided to set off to hunt down the source of the corruption.Word of the Earth Mother's sorrow and the twins' journey was carried on the winds. The siblings soon encountered a group of uncorrupted shu'halo, who presented a radiant blue infant that the twins realized had been born from their mother's tear. The group was suddenly attacked by the corrupted shadows, and though Sun and Moon held off the attack, An'she sustained a wound that Mu'sha was unable to heal. The Sky Father sent a plea on his wind that reached the Earth Mother and stirred her from her grief. Though she could no longer see, she found her way to Sun and Moon with the elements' help. She hugged her children in relief and told Elune that her presence was keeping the bleeding An'she alive. Upon being presented with the infant, the Earth Mother felt a slight joy once more and named the child Lo'sho.
Knowing that the remaining life would draw the shadows to them, the Earth Mother decided to sacrifice herself to contain the darkness. The twins protested, but she quieted them and told them to take permanently take to their domains in the sky, and to not let their younger sibling take to the world. There, they'd be able to chase away any shadows she could not hold. She told them to always stay close to each other so Elune could tend An'she's wounds, and gave Lo'sho to Elune while telling the twins to teach the infant everything they knew. Although heartbroken, the twins obeyed her words and took their eternal post in the skies with Lo'sho, while the Earth Mother summoned the elements' and her fellow gods for aid for the last time. She pushed the Old Gods deep into the world, and stretched herself across them to keep the monsters back. She threw her arms wide to create paths their creation could follow, bent her ear to her great love's winds so she could hear the prayers of her children, and pressed her chest to the earth so that the beating of her heart dug deep once more. She rooted herself and held the shadows fast, giving all of herself for her creations, never to walk the land again, all to make the world safe for her creations.The Sky Father screamed at the loss of his love, weeping at his failure, Not being able to stand the loss, he kissed his children goodbye, wrapped himself around the world and, like his great love, became his domain.
Fearing that the Earth Mother's sacrifice would not be enough, the Tides became her domain and stretched so far across the world she would never be able to come together again. The Tides took to where the Earth Mother's domain was thin.
Once the Titans life, the Sky Father knew their watchers would not be enough, and used the last of his strength to cast a spell to hide Azeroth from all outside forces. This spell was broken by the Queen Azshara and her Highborne's overuse of the Well of Eternity. While he is not dead, he has not awakened since the Titans left.
